Holidays in Koh Samet

The Paradise island of Koh Samet is perfect for a tropical holiday in a quiet, romantic setting. Koh Samet is home to some of Thailand’s most beautiful beaches! Koh Samet is a good combination with Bangkok if you want a twin centre holiday that gives you a taste of two sides of Thailand.

After half an hour’s boat ride from the mainland walk ashore on the tiny, peaceful tropical island, Koh Samet. The six-kilometre-long island was discovered by backpackers a couple of decades ago. With time, it also become popular amongst the locals on the mainland, and so gets busier on the weekends. In recent years the island has become more and more exclusive and is now more focused on luxury holidays ideal for couples.

Koh Samet beaches

Vacation days spent at one of the island’s beautiful beaches, which are among Thailand’s most beautiful. To the east lies the sandy beaches on the strip; Diamond Beach, Hat Sai Kaew is the island’s most popular with sparkling white coral sand. Find your own favourite, which you can pass the time with a good book under the swaying palms. Or go on an excursion, a boat trips around the island for example, or snorkeling and diving trips to the south coast coral reefs and the many small islands nearby.

Beautiful experiences

With the status of national park Koh Samet is also a lot more than a great beach destination. The island is not larger than that which can be explored on foot. On the island’s southern part are more places but impassable on foot and can only be reached by boat. The scenic island consists mainly of a pristine nature reserve with lush jungle, which rises above the beautiful island to more than 100 feet. Along parts of the coast, you can also see the fine Samet trees with maroon tribes and white flowers, which gave the island its name. On holiday in Koh Samet you’ll get great photos and wonderful memories.
